The Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca can be divided into two parts, North and South, where the separation is located near the city of Alicante. The southern part of the province is characterized by its beautiful extensive sandy beaches and smaller bays, the warmest climate in Spain and lower house prices than surrounding popular Costa´s. The landscape is hilly and there are no high peaks, so there are no steep roads or hairpin bends. This coastal strip on the North Costa Blanca is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in Spain and is characterized by a very varied and picturesque landscape. Not only extensive white sandy beaches, from which the Costa Blanca owes its name, but also impressive capes and cliffs with hidden bays between pine forests make this zone a very exclusive region.
South Costa Blanca
With its beautiful palm boulevard and the cosy shopping streets is Alicante one of the most famous cities of the Costa Blanca. The coast earned its name from the long beaches of several kilometres and about 50m width. Therefore, it come to no surprise that this attracts many sun worshipers and pleasure seekers. Due to the little amount of rainy days you can enjoy the sun or swim in the Mediterranean Sea nearly every day all year around. The sandy beach is about a 10-minute-car drive from Alicante and gradually descends into the sea. Thus, very suitable for children, also because of the playground areas. During the high season the beach will watched by guards to guarantee you more safety. If you are a fan of nude beaches you can also enjoy the nude beach of La Marina, which is certainly a wonderful experience. However also places offer nude beaches at the Costa Blanca.
Places such as Guardamar, Torrevieja, La Marina and the Orihuela Costa are bustling with tourists all year round. There are numerous shopping centers, go-kart tracks, golf resorts and theme parks, which will delight both young and old. There are several places where various UK shops and restaurants are present, so that home is never too far away.
The average temperature in winter is about 16ºC. The average temperature in spring and autumn is around 20ºC. In summer, the average temperature is about 35ºC. When winter is around the corner, many English people go to the Costa Blanca, a popular place for winterers. In summer, life goes on here 24 hours a day; in the winter months it is quieter, but there is still plenty to do. However, there is also plenty to see outside these cities. Think, for example, of Santa Barbara Castle or the picturesque mountain village of Guadalest. A jeep safari through the hinterland, a trip through the palm forest of Elche or a visit to one of the spectacular night clubs is definitely worthwhile. In all towns and villages there are various shops for groceries (pharmacy, bakery, cigar shop and large supermarkets)

If you really want to take a day out, you can go to cities like Alicante and Elche where there are large shopping centers. Habaneras is located in Torrevieja and La Zenia Boulevard is located in La Zenia, which is very popular with shoppers. There are many parties and typical Spanish customs in the summer months, such as the many local parties with and without parades and always with fireworks.
North Costa Blanca
Costa Blanca North is located in the province of Alicante and extends from Denia south to Alicante city. This coastal strip is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in Spain and is characterized by a very varied and picturesque landscape. Not only extensive white sandy beaches, from which the Costa Blanca owes its name, but also impressive capes and cliffs with hidden bays between pine forests make this zone a very exclusive region. In the immediate hinterland we find picturesque mountains and valleys that largely consist of orange and almond groves. Due to these height differences, we find a rich range of real estate with beautiful views.
The most important places are Denia, Javea, Moraira and Altea where, along the coast, only apartment complexes with a maximum of 4 floors are allowed, with the exception of Calpe, and spacious villa areas are also set up among the greenery present. This gives the entire area a residential character with a lot of permanent habitation and activity throughout the year. Calpe very popular with the Belgians, partly because of the excellent gastronomy and beautiful boulevards. Mass tourism is therefore not to be found here, with the exception of the place Benidorm, which has been one of the most famous holiday destinations in Spain for many years, with its extensive walking boulevards.
A lover of theme parks will also get their money's worth here given the large amount built here. Amusement parks as well as zoos and water parks guarantee entertainment with the whole family. Water sports enthusiasts can also indulge themselves thanks to the breathtaking coastline with several beaches and caves that are only accessible by water. Marinas are abundant here, of which Denia is one of the most important with daily connections to Ibiza and Mallorca.
An advantage of this region is that it is easily accessible via the airports of Valencia in the north and Alicante in the south. Most places also have their own exit on the AP-7 motorway, which means that they can be on site quickly. In addition, there is no large industry and the entire zone has a special microclimate, making it one of the healthy places in the world to live or stay.
